grandmother
passed
away |
|
Passed away yesterday afternoon, August 13. Mrs. Ethelene Copeland Ashburn had been fighting pneumonia for several days.
Born May 26, 1918, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Arkley and Ada (Ledbetter) Copeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Dean Maynard.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Virgle Othel Ashburn; 2 daughters, Barbara Adams and Priscilla Booth; 3 grandchildren, Ronnie Booth II, Michael Booth, and Melissa (Booth) Sims; 8 great-grandsons, Ronnie Lee Booth III, Daniel Booth, Christian Booth, Grant Booth, Andrew Booth, Jonathan Booth, Jared Booth, Austin Booth; and step-great-grandchildren, Amy Duncan and Jonathan Duncan.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Booth, Michael Booth, Tom Ashburn, Joe Ashburn, Jerry Maynard, Eddie Maynard, and Eddie Sims.
Special care provided by Whitson Funeral Home. Burial was in Okolona Cemetery.
Services will be held on Monday, August 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Update
on
Michael
Booth |
Steve
Ladd
was
singing
the
tenor
part
for
The
Booth
Brother
While
Michael
took
sick
leave..
Then
Ronnie
explained
that
Steve
was
singing
for
Michael
for
3
weeks.
He
said
there
was
nothing
wrong
with
Michael's
voice
but
that
the
Dr.
at
Vanderbilt
recommended
3
weeks
complete
voice
rest,
and
Ronnie
added
that
that
would
be a
real
challenge
for
Michael,
which
brought
a
laugh
from
the
mostly
Booth
Bros.
familiar
crowd.
Michael
I
hope
you
feeling
better
soon.
Good
luck
Michael.
I
know
Joe
Bonsall
(Tenor
from
the
Oak
Ridge
Boys)
had
the
some
problem
last
month.
Joe
can't
talk
for
about
3
weeks.
While
his
voice
rested.
Joe
is
doing
good
